American Oscar-winning actor William Hurt has been confirmed dead.
The award-winning actor who was born on March 20, 1950 passed away on Sunday March 13, 2022, just 7 days (one week) to his 72nd birthday.
Back in 2018 it was made known that the actor was battling with prostate cancer that spread to the bone.
News of his death was announced by his son who released a statement made available to Deadline saying his father died peacefully of natural cause, and that the family requests privacy at this trying time.
The statement reads;
“It is with great sadness that the Hurt family mourns the passing of William Hurt, beloved father and Oscar winning actor, on March 13, 2022, one week before his 72nd birthday. He died peacefully, among family, of natural causes. The family requests privacy at this time.”
