Ijoba Lande, the Nigerian skit maker also known as Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, who was reported missing on March 26, has finally spoken out about his disappearance.
His wife had earlier posted a video on his Instagram page stating that he had left home on the night of March 26 without his phone and had not returned since.
However, during an Instagram live session on April 1, Ijoba Lande clarified that he was not kidnapped but had left his home intentionally due to feeling spiritually attacked.
He explained that he left because all the prophecies he heard about himself were coming true, including going broke, getting into debt, selling his properties, and walking to places he once drove to.
He said, “I was under spiritual attack. I left home myself because all the prophecies I heard about myself were all coming to pass.”
He also addressed rumors about his family, noting that his wife had three children before they got married, and that he has one child with her, making a total of four children.
He denied messaging people to beg for money, stating that he only messaged Mr. Sabinus, who had previously offered him a job and money, which he had declined.
“I didn’t message people to beg for money, as rumoured. The only person I messaged was Mr Sabinus, who invited me for a job once and offered me money which I refused.
“I sent him a message because I felt he would understand my situation, but unfortunately, he read the message but didn’t reply. It was even another colleague that convinced me to send him a message in the first place. I never intended to do so.”
He also appreciated his colleagues and followers for their support during his absence and warned about the reality of depression.
“I appreciate every one. They said almost everyone posted. I want to tell everyone that depression is real, and I want to tell the whole world that nobody kidnapped me. I did it intentionally but thank God I am back.” he said.
