“Veteran Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has opened up about the reasons behind his decision to keep his family – his wife and children – away from the realm of social media.
Various factors contribute to why certain celebrities opt to shield their partners and offspring from the public eye on social platforms. One prevalent motive is safeguarding their loved ones’ privacy, shielding them from the often harsh scrutiny and potential negativity that can accompany fame. Celebrities may desire to shield their family members from intrusive media coverage, relentless paparazzi, and the online onslaught of trolls.
Another motive revolves around upholding a semblance of normalcy and a clear boundary between their personal and professional lives. By preserving the confidentiality of their family affairs, celebrities can erect a barrier between their public persona and their private relationships.
Unlike many others who openly share images of their significant others and children on social media, the 45-year-old thespian, Chinedu, has chosen a different path, and his rationale is grounded.
