The Weeknd performed six songs during Metro Boomins closing set in the Sahara tent at Coachella, including Double Fantasy from The Idol Vol. 1. Its the first time he’s performed the track, which The Weeknd teased in a video on Instagram featuring Abel Tesfaye watching an orchestra perform the intro in a recording studio.
The Idol, the Weeknds forthcoming HBO show with Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, is scheduled to premiereout of competitionat Cannes Film Festival.
The debut of Double Fantasy was sandwiched at the end of his six-song set between appearances from Future (on Low Life, from his 2016 LP Evol) and both 21 Savage and Diddy (Creepin, from Metro Boomins second studio LP Heroes & Villains). Check out the set list below.
