Stonebwoy, a Ghanaian musician signed to Def Jam Records, has explained why he did not collaborate with Black Sherif, the 2023 VGMA Artiste of the Year, on his 5th Dimension album.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast, Stonebwoy stated that the absence of Black Sherif on his album does not imply that there is a rift between them.
Stonebwoy clarified that there are many other musicians in Ghana with whom he has yet to collaborate, and that the lack of a collaboration with Black Sherif should not be interpreted as a problem.
He added that if people ask why he did not feature Black Sherif on his album, it might seem like there is an issue between them, but there are no issues at all.
Stonebwoy emphasized that the fact that he has not collaborated with Black Sherif yet does not mean there is any problem between them.
He stated that there are many other musicians in Ghana with whom he has not yet worked, and that people should not read too much into the situation.
Stonebwoy expressed his hope that he will collaborate with Black Sherif and other artists in the future.
He said that there is still more time ahead to make magic with the ‘Kweku the Traveller’ hitmaker. He added that by God’s grace, they have many years ahead of them, and he looks forward to doing a collaboration with Black Sherif and many other artists as well.
