She’s ready to say “I Jew.”
Sofia Richie revealed she converted to Judaism ahead of her wedding to her fianc, Elliot Grainge.
“What a magical day,” she wrote on her Instagram Story Monday over a photo of herself signing a document written in Hebrew.
Richie, 24, thanked a cantor, Nathan Lam, for “helping” her throughout her “journey” to change her religion.
“It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Today was that day!!!” she concluded, adding five Star of David emojis.
The daughter of Lionel Richie was raised Christian and even attended Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, Calif., for a few years.
Sofia also has openly discussed the importance of her faith. In 2016, she recalled watching a Bible study about “loving your neighbor” and feeling that the concept was “really cool and important.”
First of all, you need to love yourself cause thats the only way youre going to get by and be OK as an individual,” she told Complex at the time. “But its important to make other people feel loved because you never know what theyre going through.
Grainge, for his part, was raised Jewish and became a bar mitzvah when he was younger.
He isthe son of Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge.

Elliot, who is also a music executive, proposed to Sofia in April 2022, one year after making their relationship Instagram-official.
