Quickly, Quickly has announced a new EP; Easy Listening arrives May 26 via Ghostly International. The record from Portland, Oregon, artist Graham Jonson includes lead single Satellite, which you can hear below. To be totally honest I dont know what a satellite quite does, but the satellite in my head gives power to every electronic and can help find lost items, Jonson said in a statement. Find the EP artwork and tracklist below, too.

Easy Listening is Jonsons debut release on Ghostly International. The EP follows Quickly, Quicklys 2021 full-length, The Long and the Short of It. Jonson self-recorded the new EP in his home studio, playing nearly every instrument. The digital version of Easy Listening features five songs. The cassette edition features an exclusive sixth track, I Saw a Snake in the Clouds (And I Let It Bite Me).

Johnsons basement studio setup features guitars, bongos, xylophones, racks of synthesizers, and a number of drum machines, as well as a Teac reel-to-reel tape machine salvaged from eBay. Jonson hooked it up to Ableton and manipulated various sounds on the EP with it. I used it frequently to add color/texture to the project by running individual instruments through and warping the tape with my finger, Jonson said. After I had finished all the songs, I ran the full mix of every song in a row through the tape to add one more layer of low-fidelity weirdness.

Beginning in May, Quickly, Quickly is going on tour with Quadeca. Find the tour dates below.
