Public Image Ltd. will release End of World, their first album since 2015, on August 11. They wrote on Twitter that they would proceed with the album campaign despite the death of frontman John Lydons wife, Nora Forster, to whom lead single Hawaii was dedicated. A new song, Penge, accompanies the album announcement. Listen to that below.
Public Image Ltd. released Hawaii as an ultimately unsuccessful bid for Irelands 2023 Eurovision entry. The song, Lydon said, was dedicated to everyone going through tough times on the journey of life, with the person they care for the most. Its also a message of hope that ultimately love conquers all. The bands last LP was What the World Needs Now.
