Singer Okailey Verse, also known as OV, has taken a bold stance by calling out her former label boss, QStonebwoy, to address the ongoing speculation surrounding her departure from Burniton Music Group (BMG).
OV gained fame after winning the 2019 edition of the MTN Hitmaker music reality TV competition, showcasing her exceptional stage presence and musical talents. As a result, she secured a contract with BMG shortly after her victory.
After joining the label, OV released her hit single ‘Want Me,’ featuring the renowned reggae/dancehall artist Stonebwoy. Unfortunately, their collaboration was short-lived. In mid-2019, surprising news emerged that both OV and her fellow labelmate Kelvyn Boy were released from BMG.
This unexpected turn of events led to widespread speculation and left many puzzled about the reasons behind their departure. Despite the rumors and allegations surrounding their exit, neither party has publicly disclosed the exact reasons for their separation.
During a recent interview on Kwaku Manu’s ‘Aggressive Show,’ OV revealed that Stonebwoy holds the inside knowledge regarding their departure from the label.
Although she expressed reluctance to delve into the details herself, she directly challenged the media, daring presenters to ask Stonebwoy about the reasons behind their departure and encouraging him to reveal the truth.
