Ghanaian songstress Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, known as MzVee, has expressed her frustration with the government’s reckless spending and the lack of visible development in the country.
During an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, MzVee commented on the enormous amounts of money collected by the government, particularly from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), without any tangible results to show for it.
“I don’t even know what they do with some of the amounts they collect from the IMF. The sums are so huge that I haven’t even heard of them before,” MzVee remarked.
After spending four months in the USA, she returned to Ghana and was disappointed by the lack of progress and visible improvements in the country.
“The amounts of money they are collecting are enormous, yet we don’t see anything happening in the country,” she expressed.
In another interview, MzVee further highlighted the poor state of Ghanaian roads.
“When you travel abroad and land in a foreign country, you see well-designed layouts and well-maintained roads. But when you land in Ghana, the condition is so bad,” MzVee lamented.
