Wests next film takes place in the 1980s, following the bloody events of X. Goths character Maxine travels to Los Angeles with dreams of becoming an actress. A teaser for MaXXXine first appeared following the credits of Pearl, which hit theaters last September.
X arrived in March of last year and chronicled a group of aspiring porn stars as they attempted to shoot an adult film on a creepy farm. That movie also starred Goth, Kid Cudi, Jenna Ortega, and Brittany Snow. A teaser for the films prequel Pearl appeared following the credits for X.
MaXXXine is written and directed by West. Production on the film will commence later this month.
