Manchester United went from goal to the Europa League round of 16, knocking out Barcelona in the process.
The first leg ended 2-2 but Barcelona were ahead at Old Trafford when Robert Lewandowski scored a penalty after Bruno Fernandes fouled Alejandro Balde.
But United equalized early in the second half when Fred completed a low pass from Fernandes.
Substitute Antony scored United’s winner in the 73rd minute with a low shot from 15 yards out. Lewandowski almost forced extra time when his added-time strike cleared United goalkeeper David de Gea in the fourth minute before Raphael Varane cleared the ball.
The draw for the round of 16 will take place on Friday at 11:00 GMT in Nyon, Switzerland. United meets the team that won their Europa League group. However, teams from the same country cannot meet in the next round, so United Premier League leaders will avoid Arsenal.
