Ghanaian Highlife musician King Promise has emphasized that he does not view himself as being in competition with anyone in the entertainment industry. Instead, he remains dedicated to delivering his best through his music.
During an interview with JoyPrime on Thursday, September 14, 2023, King Promise addressed questions about the impact of his trending song “Terminator” and whether it competes with other artistes’ work. In response, he clarified that his goal is not to compete with fellow musicians but rather to focus on bringing out the best in himself.
King Promise shared, “It’s never been like that for me. Never ever. From the beginning, I entered the studio to create music that I love. I’m not in any competition with anybody, just myself. I strive to give my best, 100%.”
He also expressed his belief that he is still far from achieving his full potential, stating that his aim with each new song is to surpass his previous work. He expressed gratitude to God and his supporters for the success of his track “Terminator” and acknowledged the role they play in shaping the trajectory of his music.
“I believe I’m yet to create my best music. I’m just excited. I’m truly and genuinely thankful. While I create the music and love it, the fans, and the people, play a crucial role in determining its success. It’s not up to me alone. It’s a combination of God’s grace and the support of the people. So I’m just thankful,” King Promise expressed.
