Kate Bosworth and Justin Long confirmed their rumored engagement on Tuesday’s episode of his podcast, “Life is Short With Justin Long.”
I did have a special thing planned around [Kates] birthday and about a month before that, life, like we were talking about, things change, and sometimes they change pretty drastically without any warnings, the actor recalled to Bosworth, who joined him on the podcast.
It was a moment where it just felt so organic and it felt connected to something very, very deeply, profoundly personal that we were going through, like, a real life change, and so it came out in a very organic way.
The “Barbarian” star and “Blue Crush” actress revealed that his “organic” proposal just “spilled out” after the pair had left a therapy session, which they were attending because they had been going through “this really hard thing.”
[The therapist] gave us a really great piece of advice which was: Make sure that youre pretty consistently asking the other what you need, or asking the other what they need, Bosworth explained, adding that days later she asked Long what he needed.
“And he, like, really looked at me and he said, To spend my life with you,’ and I smiled and I said, Well, yeah, you have that. Oh my gosh, you have that, and he said, No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you.
The pair originally sparked engagement rumors during their red-carpet debut at Vanity Fairs 2023 Oscars bash on March 12.
As the couple posed together for pics, fans noticed a diamond ring on that finger of Bosworth’s left hand.
At one point, the “Jeepers Creepers” star, 44, dropped down to his knees to adjust Bosworths floor-length gown for the cameras.
Bosworth, 40, also teased that she was off the market when she took to Instagram after the Oscars to thank her nail technician for “the most important manicure to date.”
Page Six broke the news that Bosworth and Long were dating in December 2021, while filming on the set of one of their movies.

At the time, Long shared that he was in a relationship while discussing pizza toppings on his podcast.
