It seems that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have once again found themselves in a rift, this time centered around the clash of their upcoming events at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Shatta Wale, who was the first to announce and share flyers for his event, expressed his discontentment after being asked to give up the venue to Stonebwoy due to instructions from higher authorities. He perceives this situation as unfair.
Earlier, Shatta Wale announced that his Freedom Wave concert was scheduled for December 20-25, while Stonebwoy also announced his BHIM Concert for December 22.
This development has caused confusion because, despite Shatta Wale being the first to announce and book the stadium for his five-day event, he has been asked to reschedule for next year.
In a Facebook Live session filled with anger and frustration, Shatta Wale accused Stonebwoy of sabotage, claiming that his annual BHIM Concert was deliberately scheduled at the same venue and around the same time as his Freedom Wave Festival.
Shatta Wale expressed his anger further as the Accra Sports Stadium has always been the preferred location for his December concert. However, this time it has been allocated to his nemesis, Stonebwoy.
Narrating the sequence of events that led to the cancellation of his show, Shatta explained in a mix of Pidgin English and English:
“I sat down with my team and we decided to start promotions because I received calls from fans outside Ghana who wanted to come and enjoy the 360 events. Fans from Germany, London, Qatar, Dubai, and America reached out to me. They all wanted to come and support and make it a grand event. As we released the flyer, Stonebwoy and his team also released their flyer, stating that they are also doing a show on the 22nd. No problem, the stadium doesn’t belong to me or my father. I gave Sammy money to book the venue. As we announced our festival and the lineup of events, that’s when Stonebwoy also decided to hold his show on the 22nd.
“We do this every year, and as we prepare for it this year, we need days to set up. Let’s take Afronation as an example. Afronation needs weeks to set up when they have a concert. We are in Ghana, we see their preparations towards the Afronation festival. Yet, someone chose a date within our setup. Ask yourself, is that logical? Then they claim the President’s daughter gave the orders. How did they reach the President’s daughter and how did they get her to make such a decision? It’s very stupid!” he angrily expressed.
In his attempt to address the situation, Shatta Wale’s outbursts were filled with threats and profanity, catching the attention of netizens.
“Stonebwoy, let me make this clear, don’t let us cross paths. When we meet, let’s not acknowledge each other! Do you understand me? Because when you see me and try to smile, I will slap you! I will break your leg! I’m telling you this because nobody warned you after you pulled the gun. Nobody talked sense into your head. You fool! So, you think you’re playing smart with your condition. You hide behind your condition to seek mercy. From now on, I won’t show pity for your condition. You think you’re tough? When I go somewhere, don’t come there. You people will take and chew the show,” he expressed his anger.
