Controversial Ghanaian actor, Nana Kofi Agyemang, widely known as Oboy Siki, has made headlines with his bold statement regarding Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s potential presidency.

In a recent interview with GHPage TV on Wednesday, August 6, 2023, Oboy Siki voiced his doubts about Dr. Bawumia’s suitability for the role of Ghana’s president.
Oboy Siki firmly believes that Dr. Bawumia lacks the necessary qualifications to lead the nation, citing his performance as Vice President and the challenges faced by the Ghanaian population.
The actor’s remarks come in the wake of the withdrawal of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, from the presidential race. Kyerematen’s decision was based on the reported assault on his agent in the North East region.
Expressing his skepticism, Oboy Siki stated that he couldn’t envision Dr. Bawumia assuming the presidency if he were to secure the NPP’s flagbearer position.
In a dramatic twist, he even went as far as saying, “It will never happen that Dr. Bawumia would become the president of Ghana. I can foresee what will happen in the future, and I know this won’t happen. If it comes to pass, God should take my life. Even my friends suggest that if Bawumia wins, I should leave the country and settle in Cote d’Ivoire or elsewhere.”
Furthermore, the controversial actor highlighted the hardship faced by Ghanaians, juxtaposed with the apparent enrichment of certain government officials.
He remarked, “Even though we, Ghanaians, are going through challenging times, there are individuals in positions of power who seem to be benefiting greatly from the situation. I believe that the possibility of Dr. Bawumia winning the NPP flagbearership should not be exaggerated, as it’s just a normal part of the political process.”
