Singer and songwriter Epixode recently discussed the importance of discovering and creating a unique sound for each artist.
According to the artist behind the hit song “Atia,” finding one’s unique sound allows people to remember them even in their absence. During an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast, Epixode emphasized the significance of individuality in an artist’s instrumentation.
He stated, “Every artist has their own distinctive vibe. When you listen to Sarkodie’s type of instrumentation, you immediately recognize that it sets him apart. Personally, when I say I want to discover my sound, it means I am experimenting with blending different sounds to create something unique.”
Epixode continued by explaining that this distinctive sound would become synonymous with his identity, even to the point where people can recognize the pattern and associate it with him, even when he isn’t present.
In essence, finding and creating a unique sound allows an artist to establish a memorable musical presence that resonates with listeners beyond their physical presence.
