On its first weekend, Coachella 2023 hosted Jai Pauls debut concert, the return of Blink-182s classic lineup, and surprise guest spots from Rauw Alejandro (with fianc Rosala), Troye Sivan (guesting with Charli XCX on 1999), the Weeknd and more with Metro Boomin, Tyler, the Creator, Omar Apollo, and Don Toliver (joining Kali Uchis), and many more. Blackpink brought K-pop to the headline spot, Bad Bunny accidentally dissed Harry Styles, and Frank Ocean did a Frank Ocean, reworking his catalog with a radical set after sustaining an apparent ankle injury, which he cited in cancelling his second appearance.
Follow along with all of Pitchforks coverage of Coachella 2023, including a verdict on Frank Oceans controversial set and an interview with the teenager who livestreamed it.
