Blakk Rasta, a popular Ghanaian Reggae musician and radio show host, has strongly condemned Adwoa Safo for her actions subsequent to apologizing for her extended absence from parliamentary and government duties.
The Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya faced scrutiny when it was revealed that she was on an extended, unauthorized leave from her official responsibilities for a period of nine months.
This resulted in her dismissal from her position as the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection and calls for her removal as an MP. Upon her return to the country, Adwoa Safo expressed her intention to run for parliament again and delivered an apology to the NPP and her constituents for her behaviour.
However, Blakk Rasta remained unimpressed by the apology. On his show on Accra-based 3FM, he criticized her as a “shameless politrickian” who insulted the nation without offering any apologies. He further suggested that her apology was motivated solely by the upcoming elections.
Blakk Rasta expressed his strong feelings, stating, “Adwoa Safo is one of the most shameless politrickians you can think of in this country.
When she was on a spree of insulting this nation and its people, she did it arrogantly and showed no willingness to apologize to anyone. Today, with elections approaching, they are busy seeking the people’s favor.”
