Senegalese-American singer Akon recently described himself as the world’s most person during an appearance on the Impulsive Podcast, hosted by Logan Paul.
“I’m the stingiest guy on the planet,” Akon declared. “I tried to own a jet, but that didn’t last long. I sold it quickly.”
Akon explained that the high maintenance costs were the reason he decided to sell the jet. He pointed out that the annual maintenance expenses alone can reach $2-3 million. “You end up spending more on maintenance than the actual cost of the jet,” Akon explained.
Furthermore, Akon shared advice with listeners, suggesting that renting expensive properties instead of purchasing them is a more financially responsible approach to living.
“This is the advice I give to everyone,” Akon stated. “The money you have now needs to last a lifetime. When you think about it that way, you’ll become more financially prudent.”
Akon’s financial advice sparked a debate on social media, with some individuals agreeing with his perspective while others finding it too extreme. Ultimately, the management of personal finances remains a personal decision.
