After winning the Women’s Super League championship in 2019, the Gunners triumphed in the final on Sunday by defeating the Blues 3-1.
On Sunday, Arsenal defeated Chelsea 3-1 in the Continental Cup final to end their four-year trophy drought and won the first trophy of the Jonas Eidevall era.
The Gunners entered this game having only triumphed in one of their previous 14 meetings with the Blues, the most recent of which occurred just seven days prior when Emma Hayes’ team eliminated them from the FA Cup.
On this occasion, however, things went considerably better for the north London team, who came back to win thanks to goals from Stina Blackstenius, Kim Little, and an own goal by Niamh Charles only 98 seconds after Chelsea took the lead thanks to a goal from Sam Kerr.
