Angel Olsen Expands North American Tour, Shares New Song Forever Means: Listen

Angel Olsen has announced a new string of North American tour dates kicking off this fall. The trek follows her recent outing, which wrapped in February. Starting October 17, Olsen will play venues in San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Nashville, and other cities, before her closing gig in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, on December 9. Olsen has also shared the title track from her forthcoming EP, Forever Means, which lands April 14 via Jagjaguwar. Listen to that below, and find Olsens full tour schedule, too.

Each night of Olsens tour will feature a unique set, while a variety of supporting acts will join on select dates, including King Tuff, Kara Jackson, Joanna Sternberg, Allegra Krieger, Sluice, and Olsens bandmates, Led to Sea and Nona Invie.

Forever Means includes four previously unreleased songs from Olsens Big Time sessions. The artist recently shared lead single Nothings Free, along with a lyric video featuring studio footage. The record was co-produced by Olsen and Jonathan Wilson, who also mixed the EP. The two previously worked together on Big Time.

Olsen penned Forever Means in 2019, following the release of All Mirrors and Whole New Mess. She returned to the song throughout the sessions for Big Time. Id thought of it as a kind of nod to George Harrison, who Id been getting back into during the pandemic as I was finally calming down and finding moments of peace with myself, Olsen said of the track in press materials.
