Ahoufe Patri, the well-known Ghanaian actress and fitness trainer whose real name is Priscilla Opoku Agyeman, recently opened up about her experience of being expelled from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) after just one year due to failing her courses.
During an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, Ahoufe Patri shared the story with a touch of humor in her voice, saying, “I went to UCC for a year. Just a year, they sacked me. I couldn’t continue to level 200.”
When pressed on whether she was joking or left voluntarily, she clarified that her expulsion was a result of failing her exams.
“I failed my paper. That is the honest truth. I feel like, at that time, I was really young. I really wasn’t paying attention to my studies. I regret that now, but that’s what happened,” she admitted.
However, Ahoufe Patri went on to explain that this setback ultimately led her back to Accra, where she eventually found her big break in acting.
“That brought me back to Accra; I went to NAFTI, and that’s where it all started for me. So I feel like everything happened for a reason,” she stated.
Ahoufe Patricia’s candid revelation provides us with a glimpse into her personal journey and serves as a reminder that setbacks and failures can sometimes pave the way for unexpected opportunities and personal growth.
