Actress Juliet Ibrahim has come forward with a shocking revelation that she was raped by a man she was dating.
Despite repeatedly telling her then-boyfriend to stop, he forced himself on her.
“I kept saying no, stop it, stop it but he will pin me down to do whatever it is,” she said.
Juliet added that the man would smile and say “don’t worry” while she was crying, which she believes makes him a rapist.
Speaking on the ‘With Chude’ TV show, the mother of one recounted how she had to leave the relationship after being locked up in the house by her ex-boyfriend.
She was eventually rescued by her sister Sonia.
Juliet Ibrahim, who was once engaged to Safo Kantanka Jnr, said she was scared of the man because he was tall and thick.
“He can raise me up and pin me against the wall. You are against the wall and you can’t do anything,” she said.
The rape happened every day, she added.
Juliet Ibrahim did not reveal the identity of her ex-boyfriend but urged women to speak out against such forceful s3xual encounters, even if they are from their husbands.
“In those kinds of cases, you can’t even explain. Who do you go and tell? Who is going to come and fight for you? At that time, you are naive, but ladies, you can report it now. Go and report.
If your husband is forcing you to do something when you are not in the mood, it is rape,” she said.
