2024 People’s Choice Awards Performers: Kylie Minogue and Lainey Wilson are set to grace the stage as performers at this year’s People’s Choice Awards!
Fresh off their triumph at the recent Grammys, the awards ceremony has revealed that Minogue, aged 55, and Wilson, aged 31, will deliver electrifying performances at the upcoming event on Feb. 18, hosted by actor Simu Liu.
Two decades since her initial triumph, the iconic “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” songstress clinched her second Grammy for her summer anthem “Padam Padam,” securing the accolade for best pop dance recording last Sunday. Her 2023 album, “Tension,” solidified her status as the sole female artist to achieve a No. 1 LP in five distinct decades on the UK charts.
With a staggering sales record of over 80 million records throughout her illustrious near-half-century career, Minogue attributes her enduring success to her loyal queer fanbase. In an interview with E!’s Live from the Red Carpet host Laverne Cox at the Grammys, she expressed gratitude, stating, “Thank you for being with me for such a long time now, through thick and thin. We ride the highs, the lows and the in-betweens, and to know that we’ve got each other’s backs and this feels like the start of the next era.”
Meanwhile, Wilson has enjoyed a similarly triumphant year, solidifying her position as a cornerstone of country music. Her fourth album, “Bell Bottom Country,” clinched the Grammy for best country album, while she clinched the coveted entertainer of the year title at the 2023 CMA Awards.
Boasting over 700 million streams and four chart-topping hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, Wilson has more than justified her nominations for female artist of the year and female country artist of the year at the PCAs.
Reflecting on her journey, the “Watermelon Moonshine” crooner shared her excitement with PEOPLE on the Grammys red carpet, stating, “I’ve been preparing for the race and I finally entered it and now I’m running it. I’m right where I’m supposed to be.”
Adding to the star-studded lineup, Grammy-winning musician Lenny Kravitz will treat audiences to multiple selections from his esteemed repertoire and receive the prestigious music icon award. Additionally, actor and comedian Adam Sandler will be lauded with the people’s icon award, a distinction previously bestowed upon luminaries such as Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez.
Tune in to the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, broadcasting live from Santa Barbara’s Barker Hangar on NBC, Peacock, and E! at 8 p.m. ET on Feb. 18.
